Women and alcohol.
Went out last night and we drank - how much????
Heres is some latest research that you might need to consider to moderate your drinking. Researchers followed 39,876 women during a period of ten years.
'Even a single alcoholic drink daily can increase the risk of developing aggressive forms of breast cancer by 9%.'
'Consuming just over two drinks daily may increase the risk by 32%' says Dr Shumin Zhang of the Harvard Medical School.
'Moderate alcohol consumption increases your risk of breast cancer so you should think about the risks' Dr Zhang said.
Interestingly, beer, spirits and white wine all gave increased risk, but red wine did not. Dr Zhang said 'It may be that chemicals in red wine counteract the harmful effects of alcohol.'
